We cordially invite you and your friends to the opening reception of THOMAS SOMMERS’ soloshow on Friday, September 3rd 2010, from 6 to 9 pm at the maerzgalerie Berlin.

 

Thomas Sommer chooses the olympic position: An endless baggage of tiny methyl-violet „Miserables“, which are expressed in a very meticulously and explicit way, meander over expanded landscape formats (acryl, ink, lacquer, indelible pencil) – their exhausted bodies lair around a shining figure at the Trumpeter of Jericho`s feet. They are moving on over the canvases displayed in the exhibition up to an undefined Last Jugdement. In between object boxes are arranged – intermezzos from the artists’ pool of ideas.
